Thank you for your bulb donations.

They were planted on Friday in our outside area so we hope fully will have a colourful Spring display.

Thank you for attending parents evening after a long 8 week term. I feel the children have settled in well to the school routine and have begun their learning marathon.

We change the children's sheets/books  on a Monday. Please write one comment per week  in the reading record just to let us know how they got on. My examples are:

Great reading.

More confident this week.

Speed sound chart is getting faster.

Nearly know all sounds. Blending fluently. ( without fed talk)

Library is still Friday.

Here is the learning this week.

Halloween activities

Exploring colour with leaves

Different ways to make 3

Thank you for your support at home.

Hello what another beautiful week of Autumn weather. We have been out collecting leaves for our observational drawings.

Please can you send in donations of bulbs for the new Netherthong Spring garden.

What a lovely tribute to the school your child will have knowing that they planted a bulb.

We are planting them on Friday 25th.......

We have started our subitising 123,s seeing these patterns in and around school.

We have now learnt 25 sounds v y w z x this week. Next week digraphs

sh th ch.

Please make sure you child is confident with all the single sounds. I can see the joy in their faces when they know them.

We have learnt more about the brain and how practise makes things a lot easier and they the brain sometimes needs a rest.

Here are a few highlights.

1 2 3

Observational drawings

Autumn Objects brought in.

1 2 3=  3 straight sides is a triangle. One curved edge is a circle.

Thank you for your support at home.

Please see 'MicrosoftTeams' blog for pre learning story and sounds.

Its starting to turn Autumnal this week and we managed to get outside to collect some Autumn leaves of different colours.

This weekend if you have time, please could you go out on an Autumn walk and collect a few objects for your child to talk about and share with the class adding it to our Autumn display.

In math's we have been looking and creating our own patterns. What is the rule?

We have been talking about the brain and making the right choice and how to solve a conflict.

Stop

Think

Calm

Count to 10 and say sorry.

We have learnt another 5 sounds e l h r j

Next week are v y w z x pre- learning is always useful for your child's confidence.

Please let me know if you can't access Teams all the passwords are written in your child reading record if you don't have it which we will give out at parents evening.

On Friday last week we also had fun meeting our buddies for the first time. A Y 3 and Y 6. We plan to do small sessions with them throughout the year such as reading books and playing sports games set up bu Y6. This is a lovely way to support the children with extra nurturing opportunities for the older children and the younger ones feeling they can go to them.

Thank you for your support.

Please let me know if you didn't find your User name and password with their school photo's.

We politely ask for a voluntary donation of £5 per term to cover baking and food tasting activities.

We were using mathematical language this week and comparing size.

taller than

We use what we found outside in the woods to compare this.

Here are a few highlights.
