Another busy week.
After half term we will be focusing on animals and looking the classification of mammals, birds and reptiles.
Also the adaption of animals that live in the Savanah in African countries.

Another short week!
We have been learning about the wonderful festival of Wesack and the 5 values of Buddhism.
We have been trying different ways to meditate and walking meditation and sitting and breathing.
In math's we have been doubling numbers 1-5 and writing the number sentences.
In P.E we are continuing the Tennis coach and have had a go at Cosmic Yoga.

What a beautiful week of weather!!
We made the most of it.
Planting our sunflower seeds, identifying flowers and trees.
Looking at the work of the artist Vincent Van Gogh.
Tennis sessions outside with the tennis coach from Thongsbridge.
Math's number bonds to 10 in practical creative ways.

Welcome back from the Easter holidays.
We have had a lovely start to this short half term with a story called Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis.
It explores themes of empathy and caring the creatures in our environment and introduces the children to the concept of habitats.
In math's we have been working on combining small sets numbers of fruit and writing a number sentence.
1+2=3
1+3=4
1+4=5
This was the first step for many. Have a go at home.
Art work we have been printing and adding features to the habitat of the Bog Baby.
In the woods we have been looking for mini beasts. You can do this at home and also try to identify the flowers around school as I don't know the names of some of these beautiful flowers.
