World Mental Health Day - Thursday 10th
admin on: Class 4
7th October 2019
It is World Mental Health Day this Thursday and we are going to be raising money for Young Minds, a charity which supports young people with their mental health. It is a key focusing point on the School Governments agenda to promote the health and well-being for children in school. The Minister of Health and Well-being, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Miss Hemingway will be selling yellow ribbon badges for 20p on Wednesday and Thursday break times. We ask the children to then wear them on Thursday to show their support. All proceeds will be donated to Young Minds. Here is a link to the Young Minds website: https://youngminds.org.uk/
Look out for staff wearing yellow on #HelloYellow Thursday!

We have had another great week in year 4. The children have enjoyed our work on The Lorax. We will be starting a new (and very exciting) book next week.
Here are the words that we sent home yesterday for your children to keep having a go at spelling and reading.
Once again thank you for all your support.

This is raise awareness of global warming and promote natural climate solutions. From 11.45 to 12 pm years 4,5 and 6 went outside and peacefully sat on the playground in solidarity listened to the natural beauty surrounding us. We watched a video that Greta made with George Monbiot about the climate crisis. Here is a link if you would like to view it:
