12.11.21 Update
admin on: Class 6
This week, we have continued to look at the circulatory system in science. The children became blood cells and followed a journey through the circulatory system. Also, in PSHE, we looked at how different medicines can help people. In gymnastics, the children learnt about counter tension. Have a look at the photos of their counter tension stances below. Also, our house and vice captains were trained in organising inter-house sports competitions, so expect them to be arranging some of these in the near future!
Finally, at 11am yesterday, the school all met on the playground and fell silent for two minutes to mark Armistice Day. For the children of Year 6, this felt particularly poignant due to their history topic on war. Here is a photograph of the school marking the moment.
Finally, a reminder about Children in Need:
As you may have seen in the newsletter, we will be running a range of fun activities for the children during the week of the 15th November for Children in Need. If you are in a position to donate, we are asking this to be done online via this link. Please don't bring any money into school. Thank you!

5th November Update.
admin on: Class 6
Welcome back! I hope you've all had a restful half term.
This week, we have continued with our 'War Across the Ages' topic by looking at the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940 and why it was a crucial point of the Second World War. We have also started our gymnastics and handball in PE. We also have discussed the COP26 summit in Glasgow and why it is seen as an important moment for our future.
Here are some photographs of our science lesson where we used Play-Doh to recreate some organs of the human body and tried to work out where they might go. This was a chance for us to revise what the children covered in Year 3 and 4 about the human body, so that we are ready to learn about the circulatory system this half term. I must say that the children were very excited about using Play-Doh!
