Visit from Sarah Morrell
admin on: Class 2
23rd January 2019
Key Stage One were luckily enough to have a visit from the author, Sarah Morrell (Oscar and Zachary's mum). She came and read her published book, The King and the Cockerel, to the children. She used props made by her mother and acted out the different characters, to bring the story to life. Her enthusiasm engaged all the children. If you would like more information about her book, a link to her website is here: www.sarahmorrellauthor.co.uk
Making puppets
admin on: Class 2
22nd January 2019
Today, we started to make our animal puppets in DT. Children could choose either a lion, tiger, elephant, hippo, giraffe or panda. We used blanket stitching to sew two felt templates together. After, we are then going to stick detailed features onto the different animals, which will bring them to life! Stay tuned to see the finished product ...

We became fantastic Scientists on Thursday. The children have been investigating materials and needed to find out which type of paper was the most absorbent. They used pipettes to test the paper with small amounts of water. We were amazed to find out that some of the paper didn't absorb the water at all and some soaked in straight away.
Well done Year 2 Scientists.
