Well, that's another term finished. We ended on a high, with some lovely activities and lessons.
In Literacy, we have created a double page spread all about the Vikings. The children have really enjoyed researching online and in books to add lots of facts and images to their work. We have also been creating our Treasure bokes in DT. This involved different skills, including using a net for the shape and scoring carefully. They looked pretty amazing. I science, we planted our beans. I hope that they grow well in the spring sunshine.
We finished our afternoon off with a lovely Easter egg hunt in the grounds. Everyone got an egg. Try not to eat it all at once!
Have a lovely half term.
Be good and be careful.

Well done this week class 3.
We have been working on some poetry in Literacy this week. We read a lovely book about our Mums. I wont give any secrets away though.
In Maths, we have been working on problem solving using some basic addition and subtraction. This can be tricky, but you worked hard at it.
-
- Anna buys a banana for 21p and an apple for 17p. How much does she spend all together?
- Lucy has 28 sweets and gives 15 sweets away to James. How many sweets does she have left?
- Chocolate bars used to cost 56p. The cost has been cut by 20p. How much does chocolate now cost? How much will it cost to buy 2 bars?

We have also been working on our Vikings topic and learning how the Vikings lived their lives. It was very interesting to learn about their Longhouses, Longships and the clothes that they wore.
Have a great weekend.

I am really enjoying reading Matilda to you in class. I love doing the shouty voice for Miss Trunchbull and seeing your faces. Thank goodness that we have lovely teachers here at Netherthong.
We have advertised for a very special job in class 3 this week. We need a Viking to join us on our adventures sailing over to Britain. We are on the look out for someone who is brave, fearless and tough. Someone how has skills in navigating using the stars and can catch fish to feed the Vikings inboard our longship. Anyone that wishes to apply, please get in touch. (Hee! Hee!)
We have been learning about data handwriting, creating our own tally charts and turning them into bar charts. We have also answered questions about the graphs. Well done.
Have a great weekend.

Well, we have had a few busy weeks her in Class 3, with World Book Day and British Science Week.
You have worked really hard in our English and Maths lessons, and I cannot wait to read your playscripts and find out the Viking adventures.
We have dissected flowers, made flowers that open and fish that swim. We have also played Boccia!
Have a wonderful weekend, keep safe and have fun.

Well, the end of the half term is upon us! And what a tern we have had!
We have all worked so hard, thrown in a couple of parents evenings, some NFER's, Pizza making, Mrs Sunderland and rounded off with the film of Nim's Island today!
I am very proud of you all. Yesterday we went to the Mrs Sunderland Festival at the Town Hall (we even got to go on a coach!) and had the most fun, singing beautifully.
We also made our pizzas this week. Goodness me, they were yummy. You all chopped, sliced and presented your pizzas beautifully. I hope they were yummy.
Have an amazing week off, keep safe, have fun and see you after the holidays.
