British Science Week has been the focus of our week. This year's theme is 'Change and Adapt' and all of the children have been taking part in lots of fun science investigations.
We spent two mornings moving around the classes and getting to spend time with children from different year groups as well as different teachers.
The activity in Class 5, was making origami hovercraft after finding out about Christopher Cockerell who engineered the first one. We tested our creations, then adapted our designs to test smaller and bigger models to see which went further. Lots of fun had by all!
We have had some fantastic posters for the Science Week competition - the closing date is Monday, I would love to see some more!
In Maths, we have been reflecting and translating shapes. To demonstrate this, we used geoboards and elastic bands.
Our brass playing is getting better and better every week!
Well done to Jude for being identified as showing good listening, concentration and effort in music - he will get to look after our class panda for the week!
Well done everyone. Have a lovely weekend.
The Class 5 Team xx
