Week ending 20.9.24

Posted: Sep 20, 2024 by: Zoe Watkins (ZWatkins) on: Class 3

What a great week we have had.

We have been busy going back in time to the Neolithic days.  That is even before Miss Watkins was born!  The children have learnt about the ways that they kept their food by drying and smoking it, just like today.  They have also learnt about how the people use animals to the full, to feed their families, make shelters and make clothing.  How amazing.

In Maths, we have learnt all about column addition.  We will keep practicing this over the next few weeks.  We have also looked at adding and taking 10 from a number.  The numbers bridging 10 were tricky!

Where is Stonehenge, who built the prehistoric monument, and how? | Live Science

I have loved your art work based on Stonehenge and all the wonderful science work, that has lead to you all bringing stones into to look at.  Some of them are so beautiful.

Have a great weekend.
