Jack and the Beanstalk

What en exciting day we have had! In art, we used our fingers to paint a beanstalk. For National Science week, we did three experiments. We made a rainbow with the Skittles on a white plate and added a little bit of water. We observed what happened. The Skittles colour came out of the sweet and moved into the middle of the plate. The colours got darker and darker.
We also made a cup out of an apple. First we put some water in then blew down the straw, there were a few bubbles. Next we put in some orange juice and blew down the straw again. This time there were more bubbles. Lastly, we put in milk and when we blew down the straw, there were so many bubbles they overflowed.
We then posed for a photograph to make it look like we were climbing up the beanstalk. We added cotton wool to make the clouds. Also we used cellophane, tissue paper and card to make a beanstalk with a castle at the top on the cutting and sticking table.
Have a lovely weekend!
