Class 6
Thursday 26th March

Morning all! I hope you are all well.
Thank you, once more, for all the emails and photos. I'm trying to put as many on here as possible - so bear with me if you think yours hasn't been posted; I'm working through them.
It's great to see all of you doing a variety of things, alongside your work - outdoors and in!
I finished my San Francisco jigsaw yesterday:
Horror, of horrors - it has two pieces missing! Grr! That's one of my pet hates. Anyway, I'll get over it - now started one of Whitby.
Yesterday, like some of you, we also did a bit outdoors. We appear to be having a large chunk of ivy falling off the house; when I say large, it would easily fill the shared area! So, I have begun attacking it with saws, from a ladder - what could possibly go wrong? At the same time, Mrs C and Paddy have begun to dig an allotment, in an area where we previously had one. It's back-breaking work - apparently.
Music - some very humorous reviews. Stevie-Ray seems to have got the vote as favourite; I do love SRV, with ZZ Top pretty close second in many cases. Poor Robert Johnson seems to have been universally despised. Oh, the irony. More on him later...
I am going into school this morning - can't wait, it has been FOREVER! So I'll be reporting in from there hopefully later today. As I promised, I'll post your photos, answers to the arithmetic and the comprehension from there. In the meantime, here's today's fun:
Reading: as usual 30 minutes please.
Writing: Leave the diary for today (unless you want to); I'd like you to write a review of the book that you are currently reading (or have finished in the past 3 days). This needs to have a star-rating (out of 5). It needs just enough info to entice others to read it, but can't give away too many spoilers. It doesn't matter if you didn't enjoy your book - I just want to know YOUR reasoning.
Maths: Division with Decimals 2 (the revenge!).
It's Thursday, which means it's Speed Tables. I'd really like you to try to make the 11 x 11 grid - use a ruler! See how many family members will get involved. This could be a really fun spin on the whole exercise - let me know!
PE: I believe we are now at 8 press-ups and sit-ups? Most of you are loving Joe Wicks (maybe not some); well done for getting parents/other family members involved also. I'm loving the photos.
Music/Topic: Research Robert Johnson (he of the scratchy music) - allegedly he did a deal with someone famous? There is a lot of mystery here. See what you can find out - discuss it with your family. Try to close your eyes and HEAR the time and the environment, listen to some of his other songs. Haunting is how I would describe it.
Right, I'm off for some Rice Krispies. Have a fun day everyone.
