Year 6 Weekly Blog – Netherthong Primary School

What a fantastic week we’ve had in Year 6!

We are incredibly proud of the class for completing their third round of practice SATs. It’s been truly wonderful to see how much progress everyone has made since our very first set of practice tests. The determination, focus, and resilience shown by every pupil have been inspiring. Well done, Year 6!

Despite our busy schedule, we’ve made time for some fascinating learning in science. This week, we explored how to classify animals into vertebrates and invertebrates, discussing their characteristics and the differences between the groups. The class enjoyed delving deeper into the animal kingdom and sharpening their scientific thinking.

In PSHE, we had some very valuable conversations about online safety. The children shared thoughtful ideas about how to stay safe and make wise choices when using the internet. It’s so important to have these discussions and ensure everyone feels confident navigating the online world.

Well done, Year 6, for another brilliant week. Keep up the hard work and enthusiasm!

Have a lovely weekend!
