Class 6’s Week at Netherthong Primary School
This week, Class 6 at Netherthong Primary School engaged in a variety of learning activities across subjects. Here’s a quick recap:
English: Book Reviews
In English, we read Voices In The Park by Anthony Browne. Students wrote book reviews, discussing the themes, characters, and the impact of the four perspectives in the story.
Maths: Scaling, Proportion, and Ratio
In Maths, we focused on scaling, proportion, and ratio. Students worked together to tackle challenging concepts, applying them to real-world situations like recipes and maps.
PE: Baseball and Hockey
PE lessons included baseball, where we practised throwing and catching, and hockey, where we learned to control the stick and ball. Teamwork and skill-building were key highlights.
Topic: Globalisation and Fair Trade
Our topic lessons explored Jamaica’s imports, exports, and the concept of Fair Trade. We discussed how globalisation connects economies and supports farmers through Fair Trade practices.
PSHE: Digital Wellbeing
In PSHE, we learned about digital wellbeing. Discussions covered managing screen time, staying safe online, and recognising the impact of technology on mental health.
It has been such a productive week for Class 6, filled with learning and teamwork. We’re really looking forward to what’s next!
